we've officially started our junior ranger trek across the country.
okay, just up the hill to the big trees for now.
but we've got the bug.
luke wants to get as many badges as he can.

charlie just liked picking up trash off the ground (a requirement).
to each his own.
i put my foot down at cigarette butts.

and after a long/short trail with a stop at every single sign and ever piece of litter,
luke and charlie were ready for their interview and to get sworn in.

it was fun, they were proud.

but mostly they were happy we found some of this white stuff.
they all it snow.
i call it a solid block of snow looking ice.

she was happy, none-the-less.

i don't know what was going on here.
possibly a ice ball was thrown before we made it clear
no ice-ball throwing was going to bad done that day.

mostly we played and laughed and talked and studied lots and lots about the big trees.
and we talked about what we would do when it finally snowed and we could come back...
sledding is a must.
now we just need some sort of a winter to hit us.
any sort will do.
